So i have my Fizzy project that i am working on and currently i am sorting out the wheels.
I have stripped the wheel, removed hub, spokes and rim.
Using some advise from Freak in his posts i have used Q12 to remove the rust from the spokes and rim and it is looking great.
Using some of Freak's images : eepwall:
My wheel looked similar to this
and after lots of scrubbing and polishing ...
it looks like this...
I soaked the parts in Q12, then using steel wool scrubbed and cleaned the parts. Then using engine cleaner gave the parts a good clean.
Once cleaned up nicely i polished all the parts with a good car wax and buffed them up. Now they are nice, clean and shiny.
So my question is how do i treat the polished work once i have completed the task and i have my final product?
I want to prevent that the parts get grubby and rusty again.
cheers
