Hi
I don't know where to post for technical questions, so don't flame me.
How do I check my front wheel bearings? and what sort of life span should I expect. I have 37000 KM on the clock.
Please note, I do not have a paddock stand or access to a fork lift, I do have a trolley jack.
The reason why I am asking is the following:
I put a new front tyre on a while ago (Michelin Anakee) and not long after putting the new tyre on I noticed a hum from the front.
Now the hum could just be the tread on the road or it could be coincidental that the bearings are starting to go. I therefore need to confirm that it is not the bearings.
The noise is different to a car's wheel bearings, and changes pitch with speed. Sometimes almost sounds like a truck/bus's transmission when you driving behind them.
Hope any of this makes sense, hopefully it's just the tread making a noise.
Thanks
