Just4kix and I got invited to camp at Algeria the past weekend. This was a good oppurtunity to stretch the bike's legs again. The wife and I left late Friday afternoon from Strand and had to hurry to get there before dark. Pitching a tent in the dark ain't fun...
The next morning looking out of the tent.
We decided to get some liquid supplies in Clanwilliam and took the gravel road that went directly to the dam from the camp site.
We arrived in Clanwilliam just in time to see the local Spar in flames.
The road back led us along the dam. We stopped next to a cave with a Cedar tree.
Back at the camp we left out ATGATT in the back of the support vehicle. A brand new Toyota Avanza. An amazing car...
Another camp site image.
The stream next to out camp site. And the locals hanging around.
The next morning we had a brisk walk up to the waterfall before leaving for home.
The camp sites are R290/night and permits six people per site. We did the communial food thing and the site + food cost us R150 pp for the two nights. BARGAIN!
