wow, some really nice pictures, from all types of perspectives. what fun to watch.!! Noticed that Madmike was the only one that took a different line out of the first watercrossing...everyone else went for the rut...

had no choice , new it was the better line  ::) ::) but my old donkey does not fit thru there!
i only took one photo...i just love that bike....

and the rider  :peepwall:

Hell yeah! Couldn't agree more...
There are still more years to go and many more challenges to trow into the mix.
see a couple of the bigger bikes took my line less travelled through the water splash. Sensible chaps who OBVIOUSLY know what they are doing :laughing4:

so Mark, can we come practice over the weekend again, would love to do the same route again!

Looks like it was tough (especially given the heat wave conditions!), but it also looks like real fun! I checked the Amageza website: fantastic idea, hope it grows and grows! Any international entries yet?

Some really fantastic photo's - thanks to all the photographers......

Thanks also too all organizers, marshals, helpers etc etc it was a blast...........

Malibu, I think we got some training to do before April next year, but I still think we did very well - a few GPS slip ups and an airborne SE but nothing we cannot sort out before April...

So when we going riding again????? convince Mark to let us ride the route again (we'll just skip the "river" on the way back - do not want to go swimming in full gear again......)

I second that!  :thumleft: :thumleft:

I know of a lekker 50km sandy single track which includes a nice " little " river bed section. It will be a relaxed FUN ride.  :mwink:

Some pics of the crossing from my Blackberry .....

OK let me get permission and see what I can put together. But it will have to wait until my ribs say it's ok to ride  ;D

Pity there are no photies of us coming back the other way over the river crossing - was much more challenging  :ricky:

I bet - I had a look at that wondering how one would do it because there were some nice cement block ditches hidden in that muddy water. Did you come out where most people went in (you would need some momentum which would have been hard to find) or did you go up the left-hand bank - further away from the rock bridge (would have been my choice).

Had brute force on our side, so went straight up  ;D

To the left (faaar to the left, through the bush) was the better option.
