I did a solo trip from Somerset West to Plett last weekend to visit some family, who were down from Gauteng. I did the dutyful thing on Saturday and Sunday and then took off on Monday to do some exploring on my trusty Africa Twin. (Eish ...two days of family can be hell)
I decided to take the Prince Alfred pass road , just outside Plett, and wound my way through some awesome scenery for about 60 km. It was farking hot and I hadnt packed any liquid refreashment, when out of the blue I see a sign that says "Bikers Pit Stop" and there it was ......Angies G Spot .....well there was no ways in hell that I was going to pass that pit stop, .......so I ventured in.
The place is in the middle of nowhere and seemed completely deserted, so I parked the AT and snooped around a bit (Hoping like hell I would meet Angie)but alas that was not to be. Instead I had a very friendly greeting from the resident barman and his assistant. After a few cold ones I was given the grand tour of the establishment (still no sign of Angie......dammmmmmm)
I must say I was mighty impressed with the place, which offered camping, tented accomodation and .....er .....rooms (all very rustic and basic, but spotlessly clean)
There is a resturant and great braai facilities and of course a great pub. This place looks like it has great potential for a weekend away. I am sure a lot of the Dogs have stayed over at Angies and maybe someone can give us an idea of what it is like over a weekend.
