ANSWER: How To Remove a BMW Pannier Box Lock Barrel

Hi Guys,

I have purchased a new locking mechanism and have NO IDEA WHERE THE LITTLE SECRET SHIM/PIN IS that I need to slide out/in to remove the barrel from the locking mechanism.  (Was even considering smashing the old one but would prefer to keep it as a spare for someone else...)

Can someone please help me with their pearls of wisdom?
