Guys, need a little help please.

Gonna be starting a Cafe build of sorts soon, problem is the fuel level sensor is stuffed. Not too much of an issue as the dash doesn't have a fuel gauge, only a reserve LED".
So, my idea is to retro mount some sort of a submersible sensor in the bottom of the tank. Once in and tightened up, it probably sits say 5 to 10mm proud of the base of the tank.

The idea is it's normally submerged in fuel, but when the level drops BELOW the top of this sensor, so it's no longer submersed, it then opens or closes an internal switch, which we can then wire to the Dash Reserve LED, indicating we're almost out of fuel.

I'm sure something like this exists, I just have no idea where to start looking or who to look up?

Anyone have a lead, or a contact, or can supply me something please?

Much appreciated.  :thumleft:
