My brother had a pretty bad fall in Mozambique 8 days ago.
Him & bike were recovered and are currently in Nelspruit (or WTF you vaalies call your towns :'( >

Seems he was doing about 90 km/h on a slightly sandy road with his GSA but there were a few lurking soft-ball-sized ysterklippe underneath.
Long & the short of it, he broke his collarbone and 6 ribs (along his back), of which 2 are double fractures.
Big concern is the affected lung, they just put a drain pipe in today.
At least he is out of ICU, he did not enjoy the 4 days there.
He is a fit guy, active in MTB, could swim 500m without break just before this incident.
So....He hopes to get discharcged on Wednesday, but that would depend.......... he did not sound good when I spoke to him today.
