Hey Guys
Aussie bloke here that's looking to ride from Cape Town up to Nairobi and maybe further. Just been told it takes 6 weeks to register a bike in my name and I don't have that kind of timeframe.
It seems the best and quickest way to get around my dilemma is to get
a South African to buy the bike/insurance in his name and provide me with a letter of approval to ride the bike through the countries I'm intending on visiting. I'd obviously reimburse the cost of everything plus pay more for the trouble but I'm just wondering if this is my best bet?
The bike I was going to buy is a Moto mia 150cc enjoy. It's not my wr450f back home but seems a logical choice as if I have any trouble then getting it fixed shouldn't be an issue.
Would live to hear your thoughts guys and I read something about Friday night drinks? Is there a pub in Cape Town you blokes catchup at?
