THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR VERY NICE REPLIES - GLAD YOU CAN SHARE IN SOME OF OUR ENJOYMENT!

It is always fabulous to feel Donkey move with eagerness, I luv my bike!!  Must admit after having a ride on the Xchallenge the weekend before I did feel a tad bit sorry for Donkey on the very rocky roads - he is not THAT build for it like the challenge (the challenge  :ricky: is on my Christmas list....any Father Christmases an undercover WD???) - but he does it!

Romance is not in what route you take (especially since many of the routes we took came to a dead end  ;D) but in being with the person you love and actively deciding to live every moment! That is the problem: TOO MANY ROUTES TOO LITTLE TIME  O0
We would love to do the garden route area, but with us moving do not know when we will have 2weeks off, but for now we will explore the south coast for gravel and interesting tar roads.  To the WD you are more than welcome to come stay with us if you are in the area - would be great to have you - not many WD in that area at present = we are going to suffer from WDinsufficiency  :bueller:

NS a gentleman - he carried the boring stuff like clothes, I only had food in the panniers.  This was rather funny since we did the  two up on Donkey with sleeping bags and tent and food and clothes for 2 weeks (about 3 000km) and all fitted  :imaposer:

On the routes we had to turn back on we had great "head on racing" - wish I had a helmet camera to tape the beauty of our bikes on the dirt. . . . dreaming . . .  The plantations was the best, because all the trees are the same (duh) the side of the road is a blur and all that is clear is the road stretching forward.  If only we had another day, or 3.

Another great of the trip was the fact that I could stop at my primary school (plaas skooltjie) and house where I stayed for 6years.  Some good, some sad.  Memories only good - I will post some photos later with some history for those that might be interested (just need to find old albums, before digital, between the boxes).

I can say this: my life now is a fantasy I would have had 14years ago when I lived there but every bit of the journey is beautiful in its own way.

NB: HOW TO GET AN EXCITING LADY WILLING TO PLEASE YOUR EVERY NEED  :-[
BE AN EXCITING MAN!
(Thank you NS for our fabulous life, and your great support) I was in hospital recently and he was there every second (which I thought is just the way it is - but I now see it is actually very rare to have such support)

Good night, need to carry on packing only 2 weeks left in Pta and plenty to do.
Wishing all sweet dreams!

Don't worry, don't normally like the KLR...  >:D  >:D

Only thing wrong with the getaway was that it was far too short... But a 2 nighter is better than staying at home!

We did not find any waterfalls - didn't really have routes planned, just rode until the roads stopped or the sun set

Great report, thanks guys-you inspire the rest of us to jump on the bike NOW and find that beauty out there

great trip report! That Wolkberg road is great, my lady & I did it on Honda 250´s it was wet and cold but great fun! Nice to see pics of it again.

Magoebaskloof... In the midst of all the riding and the short naps something happened. Now we have to start saving for a 60cc  ;D

At least there'll be lots more time at the beach to look forward too, get a tan on the tummy!

Just another happy consequence of biking!!

Well Done!  Enjoy the wonderful time that lies ahead, we were there just a few years ago, and at 85cc already!  Enjoying every minute, I can recommend having kids.   Only 2 tips:  Take lots of pictures, and BE THERE.  8)
