Back brake on R80GS with new Tyre fitted

Hi Dogs,

Airhead and drum brakes noob question.....

I replaced the back tyre on my 1985 R80GS with a Mitas E-07. The previous tyre was a T63. both are size 130/180/18's.  What I noticed after the tyre replacement is that i need to seriously step down on the back brake before i notice any braking. Previously, i only had to step down slightly on the pedal to notice braking power.

Is there anything that must be tuned to accommodate new tyre?
