Baviaans with gwild and flatout the English version 3days done

3 days 1600km of absolute riding pleasure. So as any adventure begins there has to be a plan. SFlatout came with 3 suggestions, I was keen on baviaans as I have never been there.  Everyone was keen on the shorter trips  or could not make it, so it ended up being Sakkie and I.

Day 1: Friday 27-12-2013 670km. We leave from flatout's house in  Durbanville at 7am, first stop is Touwsriver for sppetrol and something to drink. Berty  said he could join us at Rooineke pass, we stop and waited a while but left without  him as we still had a long way to go. From there it was Sewewekepoort, Oudtshoorn,  for a quick stop at kfc for lunch it was sohot we decided to find some shade to eat. After that is was de rust, Meiringpoort, Willowmore for petrol and get boere wors and rolls for our braai. We arrived st Doringkloof a pitched our tents and were very happy they have cold berbeers which we both needed.

Day 2: Saturday 28-12-2013 600km. A early start to avoid the trafic, we up at 5am have a cup of coffee and get ready to hit the road. We leave doringkloof ar 6:30 for the epic ride through baviaans. We took it easy and stopped often, saw a huge kudu bull and a small pen koppie. The water crossings were not to deep. The views are awesome. I will let the pictures do the talking. We stopped at padlangs in kwagga just before Patensie for breakfastand a beer to rehydrate  :thumleft: from there its through the langkloof to Ladismith where will stay at Koedeskloof for the night.

Day 3: Sunday 29-12-2013 330km. So the journey home has to start, I'm up at 5am so I walk around taking pics as everyone is still snoring. Sakkie gets up and we get ready to go. The route home is Montagu on gravel then Robertson, Villiersdorp, Franschoek and home.
