I stayed 2 nites at Beaverlac on 09th/10th Jan, and whilst there, subscribed to their newsletter...
Heard this morning that Beaverlac was evacuated due to fire, and will be closed till further notice.
Must say, the PREVIOUS weekend, when i was there, there was some hectic smoke around, but from a very distant fire (a big one, though), so much so that I wondered if it could be the 'Kommetjie' fire smoke coming to rest in the Cedarberg mountains?
Anyway, just note, Beaverlac is closed, so happy i got to see it when I did!
