Well done! die challenge is hoog op my bucketlist.

Daasy manne GPX file. Its only routed to Lundins nek. I recommend going down lundins and taking a right at a board that reads Dangers hoek. You get to a beautiful amphitheater of mountain ranges... Next level.

Would highly advise on going down lundins in a group. I got robbed, gun point by a sotho when I pulled over to take out my rain suite. I gave him my neck brace and rain suite and just jumped on my bike and rushed away with my rear bag open... Only my compressor and tool kit fell out luckily...

What a way to end the tripp...

Dit was onnodig, Ek het in 2020 my s13 glock 19 gekry en dra dit, maak nie saak waar ek/ons gaan nie.

Soos n pel gese het vir my.
"Rather have it and don't need it, than need it and don't have it!"

You should try ongeluks, no manned border post , just ride behind buildings and hit the pass . Hectic but at 64 did it up and down. Absolutely stunning at the top , !!! Spend a night at mnt morese , find your way down past fort Hartley to the senque and follow that road to a smuggling crossing of the river back into Sa , then you end up at a incredible site where there was a stock theft unit that was hit by a land slide ( massive boulders etc inside of offices) unbelievable!
Then past war trails to Rhodes.
A ride that will never leave your memory bank !!!

That sounds amazing!! Would you by any chance have a gpx or route screenshot??

It is a pity you did not call (didn't have any telephone numbers?) the local farmers there, as they form a tight knit group which would have hunted this arsehole down quickly! This is a remote area without settlements, hence he would have been caught & dealt with..... ;)

Hi
Did you drive in and out the same road to Dangershoek? Was it a detour? Or what do you recommend?

Line in black is from your GPX file, thanks

Sucks about getting robbed man.

Dangershoek is an absolute gem, one way in and out for those who haven't been in there. Not sure what the road condition is in there now but I've been up and down there with an 8 ton truck loaded with maize dropping off seasonal labourers, interesting road in a heavy vehicle.

Lol Kortbroek, reminds me of the mid-90's when I drove up The Downs (= Orrie Baragwanath) with my 6T truck.
Equipped with a biggish crane, and at night, pitchdark, my boys on the back preferring to walk some of it.... don't ask!
Was an interesting trip indeed :ROFLMAO:

I've just watched your video. Wow, what a ride. Nice circular route, kind of what I had in mind, except you did it in reverse order of what everyone else has recommended :p:p any specific reason for that? This is the order I've been advised to take. Your thoughts please 😎

Rick, the majority do Baster west to east. Better views and “easier”.

Looks like you are doing it east to west?
