Hi Dogs
Just a quick message to say BIG thanks to you guys (especially the Western Cape manne)!
We recently did an amazing little ride from JHB down to CT via Tankwa and then back through Tankwa and South/East towards Baviaans (didn’t quite make it there) and home to JHB again.
Got a very nice slice in my Heidi with 25 000km on it about 30km from the Tankwa padstal on our way to Ouberg Pass, so we went back to the padstal to try get a gator to close the hole – this is where we got the “bad news” and the “good news”.
Bad news was that the tyre repair man had to rush off to town and meet his new baby!
Good news was that the Dogs had left a huge pile of tyres at the padstal for “armgatte” like me who don’t put on new tyres before heading off into the big playground!
So huge thanks guys – especially to the one who donated a 17inch Mitas knobbly that took me (and the other two)through all this...
Lots of beers in very interesting places...
Endless snaking dirt roads...
OLD Dakars towing very fast bikes of another brand (no names mentioned)...
Indigenous forests, with endless snaking dirt roads...
And stealth camping!
And to work and back a few times!!!
Thanks guys, see you on the road...
