Thanks to BOER! for the contact and assistance.

I spoke to Nico (Yvette's brother-in-law) this afternoon and this is what has transpired thus far. Yvette is in the intensive care at the George Medi-Clinic and came out of the coma this morning, although it sound like the doctors put her back under as coming out of it put preasure on the brain again. Yvette fractured her right forearm and her scull above the right eye on the brow, despite the helmet!

She will not be able to have visitors until the weekend, so will keep you updated as to her progress.

Anton and Yvette were on their way back from Cape Town, heading to Oudtshoorn. According to another source apparently the Golf heading to Carlitzdorp went off the verge onto the gravel and lost control correcting, going into a head on side swipe senario. there was aparently nothing Anton could have done to take preventative action. Sad. Anton's funeral will be held in Standerton as they have no family in this area.

Nico says they do not need financial assistance, however in true pack and biking character I'm sure they would appreciate the support from fellow bikers by means of a visit or the wonderful support that the dogs have given on this forum. So this is a shout out to all the Southern Cape Dogs, if you can spare a few minutes on the weekend, please pay Yvette a visit. Any dogs in the Oudtshoorn area if you could put some flowers at the site, as BOER! requested that would be great.

Get Well Yvette and strenght to the family, our thoughts are with you.

Sunday 3rd October Ride for Anton

There will be a group ride tomorrow morning leaving from the Engen (opp Virgin Active) in George at 09h30 and will travel via the Montague pass too Oudtshoorn where we will join up with the WD there and then on to the accident site were we will lay a wreath and have a minutes silence for Anton and the Meyer family. All are invited.

Thanks to the S/Cape guys for their support, good on you!
