So my dad, my cousin and me are planning a bike trip to South America for 2017. Should be epic and I'm already very excited about the idea!
For about 2 weeks.
We don't have any set plans yet, just testing the waters and looking at options and routes and bike hire etc.
So I would appreciate any help on:
Time of year:
April or Sept?
Starting point and routes:
We thought about starting in Bueanos Aires, Argentina and then doing a loop somewhere and back. Maybe to the Andes and back.
Or what about Peru then doing Chile and Arg?
Bike hire or buy?
I've seen some prices..pretty expensive actually. KLR for $105 per day.
To be buy would be more initial spend and if you can sell obviously it would be ideal..but how manageable is that?
And info or pointers would be greatly appreciated!
