Hey fellow dogs,
In the last couple of weeks my wife and I have finally come to an agreement: We will do our trip back home to Germany on DAKARs.

Therefore we are now looking for another Dakar post 2004 (the model with the odd windshield) to buy. We want to get this sorted soonish giving us some time to do preparation rides, set the bike up for the long trip and so on...
As with the first bike, we have a budget of up to R45,000, obviously depending on the year model, km's, extra equipment etc. Maybe we can augment the budget if its setup comes close to our idea:
We would add bark busters, touring windshield, soft luggage systems (e.g. Wolfman, Adventure Spec) and the resp ective racks making them as lightweight and versatile as possible.
We invite any dog to keep eyes and ears open for us. Please send anybody our way who is willing to sell a Dakar in good shape and for a fair price.
Any advice for such a trip, preparations, equipment, routes up Eastern Africa, please feel free to either post here or send us a message.
