I just took my XChallenge for it's 10000km service at the dealer.
On inspecting my oil level after the service, I saw that it was a bit high. So I presumed the dealer overfilled it (again).
No problem, I used a syringe to remove +-350ml of oil.
What is concerning to me is that this oil is pitch black. I had the service and oil change less than 150km ago. I specifically asked the workshop manager, and he said they used Castrol Actevo Semi Synth up to 20000 km.
I suspect they did change the oil filter, because I had a small oil leak on that gasket for a few days. But I am not so sure if they actually changed the oil?
Can it be that fresh oil turns black after only 150kms of city commuting?
