I have been a member since I bought my Dakar just over two years ago. I havent been too active on the forum but now that I have my new KTM I plan to contribute more often. I want to sell my Dakar as I no longer use it and its been sitting in my garage collecting dust. I bought it with 35000 km and put on a further 6000 km. I have had the following work done on it:
1. Serviced by BMW at 36000 km and valves adjusted
2. Brake pads replaced at 36000 km and still good
3. Chain and sprockets replaced at 36000 km and still good
4. ECU replaced with second hand unit as original had corroded pin
5. Fuel filter/relief valve replaced at 38000 km (R2000)
6. Starter clutch replaced at 39000 km (R8000)
7. Serviced at 41000 km
The bike comes with center strand and crash bars, but no ABS or heated grips. It also has a slightly scratched Kappa 39l top box. I am asking R42000, but am prepared to negotiate. I have attached some photos of the bike in Melkbos.
