Bike
BMW R1200GS Adventure
Hi Dogs
Long story short, I hit a pothole on my Adv a few weeks back. Damage on the bike is limited to rear wheel, final drive, rear shock and swing arm as we luckily did not fall.
The bike is a 2009 model with 25900kms on the clock.
This however made the repair unfeasible (using new parts from BMW), thus the bike is a write off.
I am undecided if I should rebuild with used parts, or strip and sell it off piecemeal.
If there is interest in parts, I will consider stripping it.
Big ticket parts:
Full Akrapovic exhaust (Headers and rear can), R12k
Front rim complete with discs and used TKC80, R6k
Full set crash bars (lower and upper), R4k
Side panniers with pannier racks and top box rack (standard Alu BMW units), R10k
Spotlights, R800 each
Screen (with side deflectors), R2k
Fuel tank with pumps (new pumps from recall a few months back), R6k
Front ESA shock, R4k
Front Fork with telelever, R4k
Ohlins steering damper with mounting kit, R4k
Complete motor, R16k
Complete gearbox, R8k
Let me know if there are any bits you need that I missed.
Welcome to PM me if you are interested in any of the parts.
Cheers, John
