BMW R1200GS 2008 ABS Module that does not work.

Hi has anyone had problems with theirs? The red brake  light comes on start up and the ABS does not work. I have been told the unit is about R19 000 RONT!! if any one has a unit that is not working, most probably  the same problem, that they would let me have so I can open it and see if I can repair it?
