Hello all
just wanna share my experienes with the driveshaft differences on the various models. I picked this up whilst purchasuing a driveshaft here on the forum.
We were all led to believe that the driveshaft remains unchanged from 2005 to 2008 and onwards... atch: they do not and here is some info on it. :deal:
For models prior to 2008 model the shaft part number ends in 803 (see pic 1)
For models post 2008 the shaft part number ends in 394 (see pic 2)
Therefore when ordering a shaft use the VIN number of the bike, this will determine exacty what model and what shaft to order..
Difference is in the diameter of the spline area..on both ends..the 803 does not fit 2008 models and up - - too small, and the 394 will be too large for the pre 2008 scoots.
cheers :thumleft:
