Thanks to those who brought the wors, rolls, sause, braai's and extra beers  :thumleft:

that Skurweberg was something else, what a workout i got.

Perfect weather for riding - West Rand dogs meet spot – Total Malabongwi. Then it was off following Jules through amazing back routes only he can discover.

Bikes arrive in all shapes and sizes stocked with cool drinks and lots of beers.

Thanks for the pix, TM and BWB! Also to the main manne for organising and braaiing and entertaining and so on. It was a lekker morning, just what I needed (the end of year corporate social circuit gets tiresome, so some wacky WD verbal shitstorm is as refreshing as a Highveld thunderstorm!).

:thumleft:

We had a quick beer stop on route to Skurweberg in this cool lush spot. Good to get out of the heat.

I had to gulp down my beer after loosing some good drinking time due to having to chase down Roxens who was so eager to get to Skurweberg to have beers, he hadn't noticed the pack turn off into some dense bush for a beer break. Had he not been the major beer transporation officer, I would have let him ride off into the distance!!!!

Thanks for a great morning, really enjoyed the ride and the company.

Cheers,
D

A few of us dogs hadn’t previously seen the Swanniebraai in action. From the time we arrived at our braai spot, I hadn’t finished my first beer when Jules was calling for rolls – the first round of boerrie was ready!!!!. The beauty of it, is that you light it and start braai-ing - no waiting for coals.

And then it was a select few to show us how it was done getting to the top of Skurweberg. The jeep tracks were heavily eroded, with lots of loose round rock, step-ups and general nasties.

the little exaar goes ok...

Was a kewl trip!

All I can say is.... Beer and technical riding don't mix! :)

Big up to the two 1200GS' that rode with the centurion crew, was some tiot riding, and it only claimed one bash plate  :eek7:

Lastly... Seems the Randburg wifes are much calmer, or the permission slips just get signed easier... :peepwall:

Nice trip guys thanks!

The Randburg guys outnumbered us 4 to 1 but at least our BEE were better! So screw you guys!  :D

Will do it again in the new year.

:thumleft:

More info on the pic:

Jan stuck with his rear wheel in a serious ditch, and I'm idly waiting for him, then its my turn to get stuck...

Thanks for the ride guys ... was hectic on the big bike but enjoyable ... just glad I didn't do much damage to the bike ... just a badly bruised sump guard ... guess that's what its there for after all ...
