Buff buff 2013-03-25
Went down to the “Buff” on Thursday wiff the rocket ship fully loaded for 4 nights depraved stuff

The first plan was to head for Mossel bay staying off  the “N” roads

Found a few new roads on the way to Touwriver, from there we cut down to Calitzdorp via the Anaysberg Nature Reserve had to open a few gates but all was legal, I think.  Absolutely stunning with wild life all over the place, the noise from the bikes chased the game so we only had fleeting views of the bambies disappearing.




The Anaysberg is absolutly stunning, you don’t want to be there in a car with small wheels  and make sure to have some drinking water. We saw no cars or people untill  a very lonly recieption area that we blasted past.  Dont break down help might take a while.  



If you into meandiring down a road on a big trail bike well you can’t beat this.

Then lunch in the Sevenweeks Poort (Spelling Unknown) Made famous by the old national anthim “ware die kraanse antword gee.”  Then a quick refuel amongst the beggars and bike guards at Calitzdorp.






Spent the night at the Calitzdorp hot springs.  An old government spot that is being upgraded jolly fine spot to spend the night and wash away some of the days dust, Camping site R160 for 6 people we were only 2?  They only have fire wood so if you need food ice or drinks you need to go to the private spa  500 meters down the road.





He ha the for some high spirited racing.
First  1 hp V 80 hp ha ha gave em carrots
Second 1000hp V 80 hp ha ha no chance
The old Montague pass is stuning just on coming traffic can be a bit frightening if you being a bit spirited!

THE BUFFALO RALLY
 
Well you just have to experience it to believe it, 5000 motor bikes  noise food  noise muisik noise more noise.

hmm. maybe I'll go next year, looks like fun.

In my limited rally experience (A couple of whale rallies). If you are not part of a club, a rally is a pretty boring place to be. Just lots of guys standing around in their individual cliques and drinking.

Then came the pack up and good buys and the warp speed trip home. Think i managed to get ½ hour sleep in two nights the noise and the constant party.
Absolutely no energy for photos or stuff,  but tried to stay off the the tar back home and avoid holiday traffic
Had a blast !
