The new place that I am looking at moving into has a flaw... No workshop.
So I now need to design and build my own one from scratch, and would appreciate any input. Space to build is not an issue, Cost will obviously be a concern.
Ideally I need metalwork space (lathe, milling machine, welding, etc) and a woodwork section (combo tablesaw / planer machine, dust system, workbench, etc. possibly cnc router in the near future).

First pass Ideas are:

1) 2 40 foot containers with space in between to park cars and trailers, with a roof spanning them, insulated.
2) build with conventional brick and mortar
3) build a steel structure and fill in walls with insulation panels

Any other ideas, nice to have features etc?
