CAGIVA ELEPHANT 750 Who knows this bike?

Hi Guys. I know this is not the best entry level DS bike for my 22 year old son who has been riding my DRZ 400 with me. However the guy who is selling only wants R 15 000.00. So this is driven by price. The bike is a 1990 model with the Ducati 750 90degree V-twin motor. Ducati badging on the side covers. It is complete and going well. There is something missing from the rear Brembo brakes but parts should not be a problem. The bike has 25000 kays on the clock. I'm not sure if that is genuine but the original pipe is still on the bike so it could be. Foot pegs are not very worn.
Are parts going to be a problem in the future? Was this a dog or do I grab it? Who knows these bikes on the forum? Thanks. Any input would be welcome.
