Thanks to George Booker for the entry fee discount!
Thanks to BlueBull2007 for the ICO donation last year.
Thanks to SteveD for starting it last year already, Pleco for convincing me, and Jagsding for driving it home!
Seems I will be at the Namaqua African Safari on the start line!
Its really appreciated!!
Now! Do I go for speed, or agility? Do I break the sound-barrier on the KTM 690 Oryx RR, or opt for agility on my training bike, the Kawasaki KLX450R? :-\
I don't need range.
I need speed.
KTM hits 189.
KLX hits 150, but I can brake later as its lighter.
I don't really need to navigate.
I need speed.
Range flat taps of 150km before refuel and 20 min nap.
Open flowing roads, nothing really technical.
I need speed.
Looks like its perfect for the 690! >
On the other hand, a rally-light set-up on the KLX with a 14/47 sprocket set-up might get me to 155 km/h without having to replace the piston every evening on the KLX.
