Yes baby! Its that time of the year again, the very lekka Canola Run!
Johnnie Bok and myself are doing it again, and as always, all proceeds go towards charity. This year we identified a charity to support. This has been a project of the DR Church in Caledon, and we will give the money to the expansion of the "small church", a building that is used as a prayer centre and church for the children and young ones. A well worthy project to support.
The date will coincide with the Caledon Festival, as our pretty little town is 200 years old this year. see https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=170202746383304&ref=ts The start and lunch will be at the festival terrain, in the Caledon Botanical Gardens. If you wish, get yourself accommodation for the evening, as the Christian Bikers Assoc will be there on Sunday morning, with an expected 500+ bikes!
Registration will be from 7.30 - 8.30. We will then take on the little tracks and roads of the Overberg not normally ridden as most will be on private land. We will have new tracks, and it will be well worth it! This will be the 5th Canola Run, and judging by the numbers, we hope it will grow bigger and bigger, as we had a record number of 86 entries last year!
Cost will be R150 per rider and R50 per pillion, which includes a very lekka lunch and a free drink. We will have the usual halfway drinks stop as well. For entries contact:
