:sip: Thanks Rynet, I can not tell you in words how I appreciate your pics and RR about your trip in the Ceder Berg, I went through there on the 20th and saw that, it's sad. I hope we have a lot of rain in our rain season for this to recover.

nice rr , rynet

Fire-adapted ecosystem

About 70% of the ecosystems covering South Africa are fire-adapted. They need to burn in order to maintain their ecological integrity. But because of human activity there is a need to manage fire in a manner that is appropriate for the land-use and land-type, while maintaining natural processes and patterns as far as possible

Baie mooi Rynet.
This fire was started because a bunch of Boy Scouts were bushwacking it in the area. The Scoutmaster instructed them to burn the toilet paper after a bos kak in order to prevent pollution. Fkn genius.

This is a very disturbing accusation.
Do you have any information to prove your statement?

Enjoying your Ride Report, it is sad to see the fire damage.

This is how I remember it..............................
Great RR and nice pics. Thanks for the comparison pics Road Hog. Let's hope the recovery is quick.

Thank you Rynet for the RR I was going to take an American visitor through the Cedarberg yesterday but we changed our route. It is always very sad to see the area after a fire which makes it very fragile and unstable, lets hope "mother nature" can recover soon and we can once again enjoy it. BTW I like the KTM enjoy  :thumleft:

Taken on Boxing Day:
2nd burn in two years and now likely to take a decade to recover.

Nice RR Rynet.

F@rk, the fire was really bad!  Think about all the animals that were killed in the process.
