Centre Stand

Not sure if it must be here or under Bikes.

Anyway.

I've noticed a lot of people advise against centre stands, mostly because it interfere with ground height and additional snag factor when doing technical riding.

What alternatives are there for a platform to do maintenance on the bike?

Looking for a easy-one-man-handle-it-contraption to get the bike level and the back and/or front wheel clear of the ground.

Something like that out there?
