Lekker ride, and adventure that 👌🏼
But at about 180kg with pannier rack, TT tank, and 24L petrol my at XChallenge will be my go to on most solo trips of that kind😁. Picking up a loaded 950 lying flat on its side alone is not too much fun, so Bliksem stays at home then - probably as difficult as picking up the GS

I think you made 3 mistakes

1. Your bike is too small - you need something bigger, heavier and more powerful because it will be more stable in the sand

2. You did not have enough luggage - a full topbox with tent and bedroll on top would have given more weight and thus more traction on the back wheel

3. You did not have enough clothes on in that heat - you need more layers to keep the heat out

That's very childish JustBendIt, really now!

Mother, you didn't spin it enough in that sand, that's all that you did wrong.
Also, not sitting on the bike when you tried to get out is really helpful (y)

Apropos, genuine kudus for posting this, a pity you didn't make it to that other side... that rocky uphill bit, I wonder how you'd have fared there? ;)
