Committee's drift & The Golden Mile

Everybody is away or at work . . . . .  Life is sucks 

Take your bike and go for a ride  :biggrin:

PLAN:  Tar until we get the road that goes towards the Committee's Drift area, but first a Wimpy breakfast in KWT.  :deal:

Once in Grahamstown, we go north towards Paterson, visit Nanaga for dry fruit and then the road between the R67 & the sea.

We passed all the cars to be at the front.  I'm looking around and taking photos and didn't see the green light and so all the cars passed me  :deal:  As jy dom is - dan moet jy bloei!!

Getting the tyre pressure right and the start of a nice journey and road I wanted to do for some time.

My riding partner (David) for the day - 67 years young and fit as a fiddle.  Wish I can be so strong, healthy and fit at 60.

Committee's Drift the other side of the river.  This is the Fish River and used to be the border between the Old SA & Ciskei

Dink so 30 kilos voor Peddie.  Ek het lekker dof gevoel toe die karre so by my verbyry  :biggrin:  Het nie my helemt afgehaal nie.  Netnou erken iemand my  :imaposer:

After Grahamstown we went towards Paterson and passed a few game farms.  

A stop sign and no guard??  We just carried on.

We went to Nanaga to buy dried fruit and have a coffee

Back to the road  :deal:

We promised this guy that we'll bring him the photo

Just thinking - what would happen if I ride on those forbidden roads  :ricky:  Verbode vrugte .......

Did you feel 2012 was going fast - well.  It was my fault.  Could not wait for 2013, so I helped 2012.

While David is just rustig  :sip: the other side of the world

And at the end of the day we decided that it's not worth it.  Die Boere en die Ingelse moet maar op die stoep sit en gesels.

I have a friend that's always telling me that we as Afrikaners have a way to say a thing.  Look at this:  Mev. die Wed  . . .  (Translated to:  Mrs, the Widow . . . )

At one stage you have to get to the tar road, and back on this road.  Here we had to turn left and on Google Earth you can see the road, but it's on private property.  One day I'll ask them

Best view in town and also the loudest music

And so a nice day ended in Cannon Rocks after which we went to Port Alfred and back home.

Maak so - daai jongman wil weer daar gaan ry.  Hy gaan mos gereeld PE toe en hy vra toe waar die pad inkom ens want dis die pad wat hy nou in die toekoms gaan ry se hy.

Dis altyd die tyd wat kort en dankie vir die aanbod. Lyk my ou Os het wye "beroemdheid" behaal nadat hy my van die fiets af geduik het.  Hy pas in elk geval nie in die tailbag nie so hy sal hier bly
