Friday morning and it is raining in Cape Town.  We made contact with each other and decided that we will meet at a garage in Gordon’s Bay.

What a nightmare to ride in CT traffic – well – for me it was.  Glad I don’t have to do it on a daily basis on my bike or car.

Anyway, after we met, we followed the road past Rooi Els on our way to Hermanus for breakfast.

After a chat to a few foreigners we hit the road again. 

Not sure where we gonna sleep tonight, but we were on the road again………

Cannot remember the name of this place, but I’ve been here before when Ou Bees and I did a trip from CT to EL.

I just followed the road, and the rest followed. 

We stopped at Malgas and were basically the only people there.  Have to go back and explore the area.

We filled up in Heidelberg and I asked the guys if the know anything about Tradouwpass.  Nope, they said and off we go.

At the top of Tradouwpass we phoned Veldtie at Koedoeskloof and asked if he has some space for us.  Needless to say, he did and off we go.

Was late in the afternoon when we arrived at Koedoeskloof, but as always, they never disappoints.

After a good meal, we all went to bed and knew that the end of the trip is coming to an end

Saturday morning and we off to EL or PE.  Not sure yet, but we started early.  It was a cool morning…..and I don’t wanna go home  :'( :'(  I want to ride and ride and ride

Instead of turning right at the gate of Koedoeskloof, we turned left.  What a good choice.

We took a backroad from Ladismit and followed it.  Not sure whereto it goes, but it was worth it.

Once on the tar road, we went to have a look at the Seweweekspoort, and as usual, it didn’t disappoint. :deal: :deal: :thumleft:

After Calitzdorp we took another backroad that joins up with the tar road close to the Cango Caves.  That road also didn’t disappoints.

If you grew up in our house, you would understand the sign.  We as kids respected older people and if you call a black man “Outa”, he was old and you respected him.  A black lady was called “Aja” and this is nothing to do with racism – this is out of respect.  If we didn't respected older people, you would know it as our parents didn't take nonsense from kids  :deal: :biggrin:

The big tree at Kruisrivier.  David and I have camped there before and the owners are friendly people.  Worth going back one day.

In Oudtshoorn we had breakfast but we were about 10 minutes late for breakfast.  Never the less, we ate.  They didn’t want us to park our bikes inside although we saw a few other inside.

From Oudtshoorn we took the gravel road to Uniondale, but somewhere I took the wrong turn-off and we ended up on the tar road, close to the road that leads to Montagu Pass.  Yep.  Let us go up on our way to George…..

After we filled up in George it was about 16H00.  We klapped the black stuff to PE where Alon offered us accommodation in his B&B.  Thanks again for that Alon.  :biggrin:

The following morning we went straight home and was at about 12 at home, very tired but ready to tackle the world.

Many thanks for riding with.  To Ed, Alon and David – we will do it again.
