The indicator switch on the KLE started to work erratically recently when switching it to the left, so I decided to investigate. Opened it up, and saw that the whole affair looks decidedly try, so I put some Vaseline in to smooth things out. It sort of helped, but not really. The contacts looked dirty as well, so I got some contact cleaner.
Opened it up again, and squirted copious amounts into the switch, I could see that the colour of things coming out was not clear at first, but cleared up later on. Put everything back together, and now its working like new again, no problems at all.
I also used the cleaner on the switch of the cars alarm remote that has been acting up lately, that is also now like new.
Another one of those great inventions. 8)
