so, i decided to hijack superten and grrr's ride to the old helshoogte pass.  >:D

we were going to call it 'dead end', but somehow it doesn't sound too happy!

ended up just being the three of us... some got cold feet and bailed  :p :angel1:

i of course forgot my camera at home and grrr's battery died, so pardon the blackberry and nokia picture quality.

2... our path... no! seriously!

3... somewhere in there is superten and myself!

4... it's more overgrown than it looks!!!!  :eek7:

it was too overgrown, so we had to turn around. to the left of my bike there was a tad bit of a drop, so superten showed me a really nifty way of swivelling the bike around on the sidestand. NIIIIIICE!

1... superten at work

2... almost there

3... damsel in the bushes!

soooooooooo, we head off into another direction... down a bit of a steep (just a bit) path!

it's going nowhere!

oh crap, we have to turn around. of course the guys do it without breaking a sweat.

MY FEET ARE TOO DAMN SHORT TO GET PROPER FOOTING!

1... superten holding my bike while i back it onto more 'solid' ground.

2... this photo involved lots of this type of conversation...

me: I AM GOING TO FALL! I AM GOING TO FALL!!!
superten: DONT STRESS! I'VE GOT THE BIKE!!!

3... his last words to me were... don't stop til you get to the top... so that's my dust trail hahahahaha

this of course is not so fun!!!!

grrrr backs his bike up and gets the hell out of there and bombs up the path.

superten then helps me get off the bike (yes, the short legs / uneven terrain issue again) and shows me how to walk the bike around.  if he wasn't holding it on the other side, i would have probably dropped it a few times!

Great Sunday morning turn around.... I mean ride.  ;D

And sorry for the cr@p pictures....

But you okes get the idea. It really was fun just riding until you get stuck and then taking another route.

That looks tremendous.  I love to try to get through.  Should I bring a chainsaw?

dunno what it looked like up ahead. wouldn't mind going exploring again on the 200

Thanks guys, that was lots of fun, just riding with no direction planned.

Next time will bring the machette, chainsaw, and indiana jones hat.

The pictures don't really show how steep some of those descents we had to do U-turn's on were.

But even the 'fat ass' Beemer made it out!  ;D

Yip, next time we take machetes. Then! Que the music!
