Can somebody who has been recently in ZImbabwe let me know please what is the current situationthere? One of my mates told me that it is chaos now with huge lack of liquidity resulting in stupid prices - see attached bill from a restaurant. Is that something to expect or just once off abberation?
If true, I would like to bypass Zimbabwe and go directly to Zambia from Moz along the route attached below. For that I have two questions:
- Does anybody know what is the current security situation north of Save river? Last time I was there there were police convoys and occassional ambushes in the areas north of Save. Is the route I'm planning (attached below) especially dicy from security perspective or not?
- Can I cross from Moz to Zambia at the confluence of Luangwa and Zambezi between Zumbo and Luangwa (point B on the attached map) - is there a border crossing?
