Dakar Rear Shock Cracking Sound

Howzit. My bike sleeps on centre stand in the garage and I only use her for the odd weekend ride. I noticed today a cracking sound when the shock is pushed down. When sitting and with movement as well as if I pushed down on the rear. Not a squeek but more a cracking type sound. What can it be? Shock? Swingarm bearings? Bke has 22k km. Is a 2007. Sound is new.
