The title sounds like the start of a KLR thread  :p

My bike did not want to start last night after I went into clearwater mall last night to get a few things.
I ascertained that it was the sidestand switch. When you turn the key on the Dakar, usually all the lights come on, and the water temp light flickers. This did not happen on my bike, thus i knew the sidestand switch was buggered.

I phone BMW On Call, and got a really helpfull agent on the line.He then struggled for about 5 minutes to get hold of a technician, they then phoned me back, and the technician tried to assist me, but alas, the bike would not start.

On call told me that the technician still needs to collect a trailer to get the bike, and he will phone me when he is on his way.

Luckily i live close by and the wife came to collect me for supper. The bike was collected just before 9pm by mark, from lyndhurst on call. Very friendly and helpfull chap.

Will get feedback from Lyndhurst later today.

Depressed and Bikeless.
