A few years ago, I decided to dedicate a year to racing at Killarney, in the [less competitive and slower] classic bike class. Classic bike racing was at that stage divided into 2 classes, classics for bikes up to 1976, and neo-classics for bikes up to 1983. I prepared a Yamaha RD400 2stroke twin, which was a 1976 model, and it turned out to be immense fun. I unfortunately missed out on 3 races due to badly timed holidays, so season overall results were poor, but I managed to score one 2nd place against the big Brits and 900 Ducati opposition.
What follows is unfortunately the only photo I have of that year's racing, and I almost did not buy it
I can really recommend for anyone that is roadbike inclined to go and do this, huge fun and maintenance is low[due to no offroad work.
