Just want to say, this is another one of those rides I've been meaning to do since I first saw it posted on the forum. A mysterious place called Darkest Africa, with plenty of challenging and stunning scenic riding to do. What is not to like?
When our friends mentioned they'd love to go ride in that area again, HSK and I were absolutely keen to join.

This old guy has seen better days. Guess we solved the mystery to the roads in the area being in quite a bad condition

Saturday morning we leave early to meet with JonW and Epilot. They will be showing us the area. There is nothing better than riding with people who have local knowledge of the area.

4x KTM 500s, a 520 and a 690.

Numerous gates are opened and closed. Permissions are needed to ride in this area as most is on private land.

After the gates things start to get very interesting.

This felt like Carl's dinner at the Erzberg Rodeo! The 500 impressed yet again and we got up in no time.

I don't think the rocks ever stopped? Ok, ok maybe for like 5min :imaposer:

For me this was the most challenging climb. Hectic rocks at the bottom and a hill that just wouldn't end. It doesn't look bad on the photos, but it's really tough as the rocks are super loose. Really have to keep your wits about you to do this!!!

Finally things open up a bit and we head towards Darkest Africa.

Hey FM, you should have come to re-union weekend, I have a mate who came all the way from Warsaw to be there.

Both my boys went, weren't too impressed with the rugby unfortunately
