Digital display issue (Sorted)

Ok like most of you I also have problems with the digital display. Its show whatever, whenever it chooses. This doesnt bother me that much. However after my ride this weekend (lots of mud and water and a new smiley for my rim) I have a brand new problem.

I am either going 0, 27 or 33 but the speedo mostly displays 0. I have not washed my bike yet. Any ideas/help.
