My KLR was stolen on monday morning and today my boss offered to help me buy another bike for around R50k
Now dont get me wrong I love(d) my klr I used to ride it like I stole it. But im averaging 200 to 250km a day and the old oil burner is not meant to be ridden that distance at above legal speeds.
Im looking at a strom however im looking at either an older DL1000 or a Slightly newer DL650
What is the fuel consumption like on the 1000 vs 650 considering my KLR gave me around 330km for 17 litres. At 150-160 gps speed full throttle on the highway
What problems if any must I look out for on a DL? And service costs? My klr cost me 5litres of oil a month an a rear tyre every 6months
