The heated grips on the 650GS/Dakar use the grips with the little rings around them. BMW will tell you when they are getting worn out that you can't replace the grips, you have to buy a new set of heated grips at a price of R1600 for both.

Ariete is distributed by Trickbits in SA and your BMW dealer can buy from them. Ariette produces the grips for BMW on the older 1150 and 650's with heated grips.

Take the old grips of carefully they got a bit of glue on each end.

Plenty of soap water and heated the grips in warm water did the trick
