Dogs hate tar ?

I see most rides done by wild dogs here are on dirt roads?

I have a 1200 gs and was told its a very good road bike ...

Three of us are going around South Africa (visiting all nine provinces) on a two weeks trip ...

We will do mainly tar roads .... we leave Jhb on the 20th of March and get back on the 4th of April ...

Maybe we will see some wild dogs on the road ...
