I picked up a puncture on the front tyre of my X-Challenge.
So I removed the wheel and took it to a tyre shop this morning to have X-tra Heavy Duty tubes fitted
The dude removed a small spacer inside the hub (one which I did not notice when I disassembled the wheel) and forgot to re-fit it when he was done.

So this afternoon I installed the wheel again and zipped off down the road.
After about 4km I stopped because the front wheel felt 'wobbly' and the ABS light started flashing
That was when I discovered the problem.

I returned to the shop and got my spacer back, refitted it and the wheel turned good again.
Unfortunately during the 4km of riding the ABS sensor rubbed against the ABS ring because the spacer was absent.
The rubbing seems to have removed about 2mm off the sensor pick-up.

Can anyone who had a similar experience or knowledge tell me if the sensor can be repaired with a piece of wire and magnet and some Pratley, etc?
Or do I have to pay big bucks for a new sensor/loom array?

BTW - The ABS light is now permanently on, presumably to tell me the ABS is farked.

FARK!!!!
