Dry Dusty Impendle

My friend Trevorwb recently acquired a KTM 690 to join his 950SE in the garage, so has been keen to test the new bike over some proper adventure riding routes, so we decided to do a ride to Impendle on the weekend, getting in just before the cold front hit us with a vengeance.

Derek, joined us on his WR 450.

We started off doing a route through the Impendle Nature Reserve section. Riding was good as ever, but it was dry and dusty and the scenery not nearly as magnificent as it is after the summer rains have started.

Rode past your "Impendle technical" road a couple of weeks ago with my wife on my way to Lotheni. Lot of new bridges going in along that part of the world. Was in Kamberg this weekend but took the truck due to the weather forecast. Good call, a wet and freezing wife can have a very short fuse. Ian

Thanks Jon and Derek .An outing to Impendle is always good.Although dry and dusty ,at least it wasn't sweltering hot and muddy as it has been in the past.
By mid morning it was sunny and warm.Other than a blinding headache on the way home it was a perfect day.We did 270km round trip from Hilton.
