The last box of bits and pieces arrived unexpectedly today from ThumperTalk!
I first fitted these Cycra low-profile hand guards to replace the "elephant ears" I had on earlier. I will still keep the old ones for winter.
Then I fitted this Acerbis SM front fender to repalce the standard "sail" - I've read that this might help with the headshake problem - even if it doesn't, I think it looks really cool! (and it flows more air to the rads).
Comparison pics...
...and here it is fitted.
Next up was fitting the radiator guards. Here's a pic of the standard plastic ones...
..and the new 2.5mm thick ally ones.
and fitted.
Last job was fitting the new FMF PowerBomb header. This was a bit tricky but eventually patience paid off. The standard end pipe silencer weighs a ton - maybe I should replace that too! Ooops, this is meant to be my last mod!
All snugly in place - at last - something to Autosol! ;D
Oh, I repacked the silencer as well - not sure it made a helluva difference though.
LAST thing to do is take it in for rejetting and tuning on the dyno next Tuesday - will report back.
