Just a heads up, I am not talking an occasional backfire on the over-run here due to an air leak or Y piece and can etc, this was a backfire on almost every closing throttle situation....
Strange, so I checked a few items, the TPS voltage was a bit high but unlikely to be culprit, no obvious air leaks etc..
So carried on with checking endfloat and valve clearances, all good until I got to the left hand side exhaust valves, NO clearance 8) adjusted it all and it is now apparently back to "normal" occasional backfire on the over-run 8)
So if you are getting excessive backfiring, get your valve clearances checked, it may save you some exhaust valves later on 8) 8)
