My '05 pops heavily on deceleration between 2000 and 2500 rpm. I've replaced the copper exhaust gasket as per the KLR650.net forum but this has not solved the problem. Re-torqued the bolts again over the weekend to 20Nm as per spec but no luck.
Can anyone suggest what to check next? I find it pretty annoying and I'm sure it is not an intended "feature" on these bikes. The carb's mixture needle's "tamper proof...er" plastic is still in there so it is still probably on it's factory setting. Could it be that it is running too lean?
Any advise?
Dankie
